<p>Bojonegoro,<strong> <em>NU Online</em></strong><br />Hundreds of Multipurpose Ansor Troops (Banser) of the Ansor Youth Movement (GP), a youth wing of Nahdlatul Ulama, will participate in securing Christmas celebrations in some churches that are in the Bojonegoro Police's jurisdiction.<><br /><br />"The Banser personnel are set to be deployed in areas having Christmas celebrations," Chairman of the Bojonegoro's branch of Ansor Hasan Bisri told NU Online here recently.<br /><br />Hasan Bisri added about 200 Banser's personnel would be deployed and divided into several churches to help actively maintain public order and safety (Kamtibmas).<br /><br />"All the personnel deployed will be divided into two groups, 100 people are deployed in the city, while 100 others are deployed outside the city," he said, adding that the Banser's personnel remained under the Bojonegoro's police control. <br /><br />"We provide security for the people of other faiths in celebrating their big days," said Bisri who is also Plenary board member of the Bojonegoro's Inter-religious Harmony Forum (FKUB).<br /><br />Meanwhile, the Magelang branch of Ansor, has also helped police in maintaining security for Christians in celebrating Christmas.<br /><br />GP Ansor has a commitment to create religious harmony, Muhammad Chabibulah, chairman of the Magelang branch of the youth organization of the country`s largest non political Islamic organization Nahdatul Ulama (NU), said.<br /><br />It has been a tradition that GP Ansor is involved in creating security in various places where Christians perform their religious services during Christmas days, Chabibulah said here on Wednesday.<br /><br />"Maintaining religious harmony is an implementation of Ansor`s conception of brotherhood and tolerance among people of the nation," he said.<br /><br />NU and its youth organization have been the most tolerant toward the Christian minority in this predominantly Musliam country.<br /><br />"The people of Magelang are religious communities with strong spirit of brotherhood ," Chabibulah .<br /><br />Fraternity brings rise to tolerance and respect to each other among communities of different religious faiths,he added.<br /><br /><strong>Editor : Sudarto Murtaufiq<br />Writer : Mahbib Khoiron</strong><br /><br /></p>
