The former Commandant-General of the Army Special Forces Command (Kopassus) said that he was really pleased for being able to help construct the building.

Prabowo said the big family of Sumitro Joyohadikusumo had since a long time had intention to build libraries in regions.

In the meantime, Prabowo also realized that ahead of the 2009 election, there would be many suspicious of his step in regard with the building's construction.

Prabowo said when he went around Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in East Java, "there must be some saying, what's going on"? "Whereas since the beginning I have had a close relationship with kiai (clerics)," Prabowo said.

When asked if his visit was meant to seek a vice presidential candidate he denied saying that his party was right now still concentrating on efforts to meet the legislative election on April 9.
