World Mufti to call on Muslims to help free Palestine from Israel

Makassar, <strong><em>NU Online</em></strong><br /> A number of ulema (Muslim scholars) and mufti (Islamic jurists)&nbsp; from around the world participating in the NU 32nd congress&nbsp; called on all Muslims to help free Palestine from Israel.<br /> <br /> Chairman of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH&nbsp; Said Aqil Siradj, popularly known as Kang Said, made the&nbsp; remarks as moderating a dialogue held at the Makassar's Sahid&nbsp; Hotel here Monday.<<>br /> <br /> In the dialogue between NU and the world ulema, deputy mufti of&nbsp; Egypt Dr Amir Musthofa Hasannein Refaie al Wardani said that&nbsp; all Muslims around the world should take a stand in helping&nbsp; Palestinians having so far handcuffed by Israel.<br /> <br /> He expected all Muslim groups in Palestine to unite for&nbsp; considering that the Palestinian independence would not be&nbsp; reached without the unity among the Muslim groups.<br /> <br /> "Peace is better. Israel will leave (from Palestine) if we unite,"&nbsp; Amir Musthofa said.<br /> <br /> Responding to the Indonesia's Palestinian ambassador Fariz Al&nbsp; Mehdawi in terms of the Palestine problem, Kang Said said that&nbsp; it was the problem of entire Muslims around the world.<br /> <br /> "We all are of view that the Palestine problem is not merely a&nbsp;&nbsp; Palestine problem nor the Arab one. Rather, it is the problem of&nbsp; all Muslims in the world," Kang Said said.<br /> <br /> Meanwhile, deputy of Rabithah Alam Islami of Saudi Arabia&nbsp; Abdurrahman bin Abdullah Azaid expected the dialogue ahead&nbsp; the NU 32 congress to purposefully be able to yield various&nbsp; cooperatIons among the Muslim elements around the world&nbsp; especially among their young generations. <br /> <br /> There are at least 30 mufti and ulema from around the world&nbsp; participatingin in the Makassar's congress.
